You can now play Silent Hill 2 in third-person/first-person mode

Silent Hill fans, today we have something special for you. ZealotTormunds has just released a new mod for Silent Hill 2 that allows you to play it in third person or first person mode. This will completely change your experience of this classic SH game. So don't waste any time and download the mod.

So what does this mod do? It basically adds a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective to the game. It also lets you switch to first-person mode when needed. On top of that, you can now also aim manually.

The great thing is that this mod is compatible with Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition. In case you didn't know, Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition is a collection of mods that improve the game and make it playable on all modern systems. This is a must-have for anyone who wants to replay this classic SH game, so it's really nice to see these mods work together.

You can download the mod from this link. And in case you're wondering, yes. It's similar to the ones we shared for Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4.

If you're wondering how this third-person mode compares to the upcoming remake of SH2, here's a comparison video. Cycu1 used a similar mod for this comparison, so you can get a pretty good idea of how much better the remake will look.

I also suggest checking out similar first-person mods for some other triple-A games. Both Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands now have body cam-style first-person mods, for example. You can also find FPS mods for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Even the classic Max Payne 2 has a first-person mod. And that's not all. You can play Hogwarts Legacy, Palworld, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, The Witcher 3, Lies of P, and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in first-person too. Oh, and there are similar mods for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 4 Remake. And if you play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, there's a first-person mod for that too. So pretty cool stuff, right?

Have fun and stay tuned for more!
