What are we playing this weekend?

It's time to set the record straight! It wasn't I was so busy playing Black Myth: Wukong that I couldn't write Playing This Weekend last weekend. I would never disappoint you like that! Instead, I had one of the worst flus I've ever had, followed by a really bad case of tonsillitis that I'm still on antibiotics for. Luckily, I can now stare at a monitor for over an hour without feeling sick, so gaming is out of the question this weekend. Let's see what we all click on!

I downloaded Wreckfest during our roundup of the best racing games, and now find myself firing it up every so often to cause muddy multiplayer crashes. So maybe more. I'm also playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 for review, so I may check that out for more xeno dismemberment. Who knows!

Ed
We are on holiday!

For me it's another weekend working on extracurricular projects – I've got Monday off so I can sleep in properly. On the video game front, I might check out the new sandbox mode for The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria or run a demo of a horror game like Threshold.

Graham
I joined Ed on 'holiday'!

Ed and Graham's 'holiday' crashed!

I'm back from a vacation in the US, which wasn't really a vacation because it was to see my family and my wife unfortunately sprained her ankle on the second day of our trip. Ugh. In the midst of all this stress I installed Black Myth: Wukong on my Steam Deck and I can confirm that it more or less works and looks more like a PS2 game on low graphics settings (hello, invisible walls)! Anyway, it's all Wukong for me this weekend as I'm trying to take on more of these bosses. When I'm not traveling I'll be joining my wife for afternoon tea until her ankle heals.

I'll be playing more Star Wars Outlaws this weekend. I know it's gotten pretty mediocre reviews, but apparently I'm an easy-going person. It's got the classic Star Wars sleaze, but less of the clunky Ubisoft-ness. The stealth can be annoying at times, but for the most part I enjoy it in the same way I enjoy watching an easy popcorn movie at the cinema.

I'm not actually sure what I'm playing yet but I couldn't let anyone else break my record lol lmao eat dirt losers WAWAPTW king 5eva (could be Jedi Survivor. I want to play some more Star War after playing Outlaws).

Outside of my regular multiplayer FPS games, I've started playing Deadlock every now and then. It really feels pretty good. It reminds me of my Smite days. I even found a hero that really draws people in like Hades from Smite, he's always been my main hero. The shop is still a mystery to me, as is always the case with MOBAs, but I'm hoping to find some time this weekend to properly delve into the mechanics of things like Spirit power and Flex slots and start to get a better understanding of what's going on during a match.

So what about you, dear reader, what will you be playing this weekend?
