The weekend came exactly as planned. And I refuse to go out because, as my Glaswegian partner says, it's driving the BALTIC crazy outside. Now it's winter for our discounted tents and so on. Here's what we'll all be clicking this weekend:

I'm traveling from city to city in Crusader Kings 3's newest DLC, Roads To Power. It's an explosion. I was mauled by a wild animal at night. Beautiful Gael tried to assassinate me on the road. I'm bleeding, I'm broken, I'm on the verge of death. Nothing can top this. Absolute happiness.

I… will be out mostly this weekend. We had a badminton tournament and then hung out with those bad friends, ate takeaway and rested our legs. I can spare some Secret Game time, or if I'm in doubt, some time for the new Vince McMahon documentary on Netflix, which I've been enjoying.

This weekend I'll be getting into the fast pace of the video game release schedule and desperately returning to something I've been missing: 1000xResist. I played it a bit at GDC this year and loved the mix of hallucinatory backgrounds, sad robots, and over-the-top, lockdown-inspired stage art.

I'm about halfway through Tactical Breach Wizards and will continue to do so. Disclosure: I'm friends with the designer and so I'm totally biased, totally untrustworthy, but I love his tactics, his transgressions, and his wizards. Nic doesn't have any friends that I know of, and you can take his word for it.

I haven't quite finished Echo Point Nova yet, but it remains totally My Kind.

I'm still hitting bad guys in the head with my Jingubang from Black Myth: Wukong, but I'll probably complete this game when it's finished next week. While I'm at it, I might try re-reading Journey to the West as well, because the last time I read the story it was in audiobook format (not the best way to absorb it, mind you), and the Dark Legend is keeping me up for a refresher. You'll remember exactly everything that happened in those beautiful (but subtly unexplained) music videos that follow each Episode.

The fact that he didn't post his WAPAPAPA entry a few hours before everyone else as usual made me doubt reality. The Migraine Mafia probably caught him too.

My weekends continue to be dominated by Deadlock. Just this week, they released an update introducing a new hero, Mirage, who seems… Well… He seems extremely underpowered, but maybe I just can't figure him out yet. Additionally, Deadlock now includes heroes named Wraith and Mirage. I feel like 30 years later Deadlock and Apex Legends will go together seamlessly in my memory.
