Like previous games in the series, Fire Emblem: Three Houses allows the player to engage in romantic relationships with a variety of characters. While the lack of child units means that romance and marriage aren't nearly as important as they were in games like Awakening AND Destiniesgiving players the option to support one of their favorite characters at the end of the game adds to the role-playing element of Three houses and further encourages multiple games.
Romance a character in Three houses It's pretty simple. Each character Byleth can romance (except Sothis) has a series of support conversations ranging from C to A that are unlocked by spending time with that person. Depending on Byleth's gender, she can romance characters she has achieved A-Support with by choosing to S-Support them at the end of the game. While this is fairly easy to accomplish for most characters, there is one character that is much harder to build support with: Archbishop Rhea.
Updated September 2, 2024 by Robbie Robinson: Three houses It is one of the largest Fire Emblem games. Engage, unfortunately, is a bit disappointing compared to its predecessor. While the romance of Three houses It's pretty bare bones, but that doesn't stop Byleth from making her shot. Every player probably has their favorite husband or wife in mind. Rhea is the mother figure who can heal all deep-seated trauma. This article has been updated to include more information about her journey and to bring it into line with current CBR formatting standards.
Why Rhea is so hard to woo
Its path, while easy to reach, can be easy to lose.

Despite being available to both male and female Byleth, Rhea is easily the most difficult character to romance, due to how limited the opportunities to increase your Support points with her are and her exclusivity to the Silver Snow route. Since she is not a playable character, there is no way to build a relationship with Rhea through battles, and (for story reasons) she is not available after the timeskip. This means that players who want to romance Rhea will need to A-Support her by the end of Chapter 12.
I once walked this world as Seiros, the warrior… and defeated the Fallen King Nemesis. – Rhea
Making matters even more difficult is the fact that her previous support level is locked after reaching certain points in the story. Her C and B-Support must both be displayed by the end of Chapter 9, and her A-Support is only available in Chapters 11 and 12. Progressing past these points without unlocking all three conversations will make Rhea unavailable in that save file. Despite these limitations, though, wooing Rhea isn't too difficult, as long as the player is prepared.
How to get to the Silver Snow Trail

The only way to reach Rhea's route, Silver Snow, is via a path from another route. Players will need to choose the Black Eagles as their class. Progress through the game normally until Chapter 11. Honestly, there's no point in wasting time getting support ranks with Edelgard or Hubert for those who go down to Silver Snow. Edelgard will eventually ask Byleth to join her at her coronation. Players can choose to go if they wish, but skipping it will easily block the Silver Snow route. Once Edelgard reveals herself in the tomb, players will then have to choose whether to side with the church and vow to kill Edelgard. For any Edelgard lover, this route certainly hurts.
Professor… I suppose you think you can defeat me. Is that so? But I will never give up. Even if my arms and legs fail me, I will still find a way to carry on. I will crush that false goddess and her henchman to the ground! I will fight to free this world from her vile grip! – Edelgard
Siding with the church takes players off Edelgard's path and causes her to leave the team. Hubert naturally sides with Edelgard, so players will also lose access to him as a unit. That said, siding with Rhea means players have continued access to units like Catherine, Cyril, Flayn, and Seteth. Edelgard is a huge, heavy unit, so it's definitely hard to lose her in that regard. The upside is that Catherine can be an absolute beast on the field. At least in this path, players can keep Shamir and Catherine together, as they should.
Best Dialogue Options and Gifts for Rhea
Choosing the right items is absolutely necessary
Since there is less of a chance of gaining support levels with her, selecting the right dialogue options is much more important when speaking to Rhea than with other characters, especially if the player intends to romance her. The first time Byleth meets Rhea, they should tell her their nameIn other conversations, asking about the teachings of the Church of Seiros, agreeing with her on matters such as what to do with the Spear of Doom, and promising to do everything possible when problems arise it will impress Rhea. Also, make sure to Not tell Rhea “I had never heard the name of the Goddessas this will cause your support points to decrease.
During Rhea's support conversations, there are additional opportunities to gain or lose points with her. In her Support CThe best options are “I'm still nervous”; “He said you were scary” or “He said you were amazing”; and “I didn't know that… Thanks for telling me.” In his B-Supporttell her, “It's not like that,” “I'm sorry I made you feel that way,” and “Actually… I've been having weird dreams lately.” Finally, during the A-Supportsay “That was comforting” for the first dialogue option.
Another great way to strengthen Byleth's relationship with Rhea is to give her gifts and return her lost items. Since there is no limit to the number of gifts the player can give to an NPC in a day, giving favorite items is an easy way to quickly earn points, especially when you are near one of Rhea's support deadlines. The best gifts to give to Rhea are Statuette of the Goddess, Ancient coin, Landscape paintingAND Owl feather. Everything else can be gifted for fewer points, but make sure you avoid giving Rhea exotic spicesbecause she doesn't like them. As far as lost items go, Rhea's are the Elegant hair clip (available from Chapter 3 in the Audience Hall), Seiros's Writings (available from chapter 6 in the Cathedral) and the Faded Star Chart (available from chapter 9 in the Library).
One of the strange things about Rhea's courtship is the fact that Byleth's mother, Sitri, was a clone created by Sothis from Rhea. Rhea is a daughter of Sothis. In the game, Sothis ends up fusing with Byleth. This means that, technically, there is a very twisted genetic trail between Byleth and Rhea.
How to Get the Perfect Tea Time with Rhea
There's plenty of time to admire Rhea once you get the perfect tea time.
At launch, Rhea was the only character with support conversations that Byleth couldn't have a tea party with. However, this changed with the 1.2.0 update. Now, players can invite her to tea starting in Chapter 5; she will also invite the player the first time. Rhea's favorite teas are Angelica Tea, Crescent moon teaAND Chamomile. Players can obtain these teas by finding them, growing them, or purchasing supplies from a merchant. Players will definitely want to impress Rhea with her favorite tea, so it’s worth stocking up on. As for conversation points with Rhea, giving the appropriate responses will give players a perfect tea time, earning increased support points and a +1 to the protagonist’s Charm stat.
