Here's something really cool. Humble Games today announced a new 2.5D turn-based JRPG called Threads of Time, heavily inspired by Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. This new JRPG looks great and you can find the debut trailer below.
In this game, players combine powerful attacks in visually dynamic, strategic turn-based battles. Players will bend time to their will, unraveling enemies' defenses and unleashing their party's full potential through devastating team combinations.
According to the developers, players will be able to recruit unique characters from different eras. In this way, they will unite heroes from all eras to protect the timeline from impending chaos and corruption.
Threads of Time will use Unreal Engine 5 and feature handcrafted 2D characters. Seriously, this looks amazing. So be sure to check out the trailer.
There is currently no ETA as to when the game will be released. I estimate we could get it sometime in 2025. However, it could even last until 2026.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
