Fans of Star Wars and Mortal Kombat 1 have something special for you. After the mods for X-Men 97, Suicide Squad, Disney and Dreamworks vs Pixar, we now have a Star Wars modpack.
This modpack, created by “IOI-632671”, replaces most of the game's characters with ones from the Star Wars franchise. As with the previous mods, these are just 3D model character swap mods. In other words, they do not replace the voices or move sets of the original MK characters. Still, this is something that will bring a smile to the face of all Star Wars fans.
More specifically, the mods replace Omniman with Darth Vader, as well as Shao Kahn's 2nd skin and Kitana's 1st skin with Darth Maul and Slave Leia respectively. Chewbacca will also replace Goro and you can expect to play as the Mandalorian instead of the Peacemaker. Emperor Palpatine will replace Shujinko and Jarjar will replace Homelander. Then we have Kylo Ren instead of Ermac and a Stormtrooper instead of Stryker/Peacemaker. Finally, C3PO will replace Sektor.
Although the modder hasn't released any videos, he has provided plenty of screenshots. You can find them all on his NexusMods page (where you can also download them). I've included some of them below, so feel free to check them out.
As we said, this is a cool and essential modpack for all Star Wars fans. And since this is Disney, we recommend downloading it while you still can. For all we know, the modpack might be discontinued immediately. Or at least one day – and if it is – it might go viral.
Now imagine if someone made a Street Fighter or Tekken modpack for MK1. That would be crazy. Yes, it would most likely receive a DMCA letter in no time. Still, it would have been really cool.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
