The princess of Parry Everything moves the plot forward (not Noor)

Summary

  • Lynne, a skilled 15-year-old adventurer, is instrumental in connecting the two sides of

    history.
  • Lynne's influence as princess will impact the kingdom, as she demonstrates strength and determination to protect her people.
  • Lynne's strength and goal-oriented mindset make her a powerful force in shaping the future of the Clays Kingdom.

Although it started out as an action-comedy anime, I cover everything has recently begun to expand its plot and world-building. The first episode of the series hinted at a larger plot going on in the background, but Noor's focus on becoming an adventurer has taken center stage. Noor has already achieved his goal very early in the series, so his intrinsic motivation cannot drive the story. He is perfectly content to be the lowest-level adventurer possible. However, by having Noor save Lynne, he has now involved himself with more important people in his world.

Lynne shares a similar drive to Noor. Just as Noor spent her entire childhood honing low-level skills, Lynne is determined to better herself. She clings to Noor as someone to admire. Her strong integrity is what drives her to introduce Noor to the king. Lynne drags Noor into the story because she has a dream to follow. In this way, she acts more like a traditional protagonist would. When it comes down to it, Lynne is one of the most important players in I cover everything.

Lynne connects Rein to Noor

Don't call it a Mashle clone – Parry Everything is unique

While both are action-comedy anime with a very powerful protagonist, I Parry Everything takes a very different approach than Mashle.

In I cover everythingThere are two halves of an ongoing story. The main focus and main plot is the adventures of Noor, who encounters various things to fight. If he continued on his own, he would simply be a highly skilled man doing the mundane things a fantasy kingdom needs to function. He would still train, but he wouldn't feel confident enough to seek out a fight. On the other hand, there is the war coming with the Magic Empire of Deridas on the horizon. The prince of the kingdom, Rein, is constantly trying to outsmart his enemies and protect his people.

Lynne is the only place where these stories connect. Lynne is targeted and trapped by the magical kingdom, which leads to Noor saving her. Rein is Lynne's older brother and is trying to keep her safe. Rein believes that Noor is the best option to protect Lynne and sends them out of the city. This move puts Lynne and Noor directly in the path of the Empire's secret attack. Noor ends up fighting a dragon and proving his strength. Rein sees Noor as someone who can help save the Kingdom of Clays because Lynne believes in Noor's abilities. It's the relationship Lynne cultivates with both Noor and her brother that drives the plot.

Is there a right way to write an extremely powerful anime character?

With layers of character development, combat mechanics, and fantasy escapism, this trope is much more than just punch-throwing.

Lynne is first and foremost a princess. This was reason enough for the Magic Empire to target her. She is of unique importance to both her family and the kingdom in general. Anything that happens to Lynne will leave a lasting impression on the Kingdom of Clays. On top of that, Lynne has a lot of influence on the state of the war. She is directly looking for ways to protect her people. She has already found and dealt with several secret plots that the Magic Empire wanted to use to harm her kingdom.

Lynne's influence is also less direct. As a princess, her beliefs and decisions can change the entire country. From her adventure with Noor, she's learning to be a more courageous and open-minded person. She's learning to let go of her pre-existing notions and reach out with compassion first. Her treatment of demons will affect how the kingdom treats them; already, Ines is willing to be more flexible about demons because Lynne is.

His strength helps his goals

Lynne uses a magic sword attack: Block All.

Despite being trapped in the first episode, Lynne is a very powerful person. It took a lot of deception to force her into such a vulnerable position. She has mastered high-level skills from multiple classes. Lynne is constantly trying to improve herself as well. She has been shown to question the Sovereign Six when given the opportunity, and is very good at assessing the strength of others. She wants to follow Noor because she recognizes the dedication it took for him to become powerful. There is nothing weak about Lynne, and that makes her capable of taking on her enemies.

Lynne is the princess of the Clays Kingdom and she takes this role very seriously. She wants to do her best for her people and becoming stronger is an important part of that journey. Through this goal, Lynne repeatedly seeks out Noor. She introduces him to Rein and the king and now they know that Noor can be of use. It is she who Rein wants to protect by sending her away. One day, Lynne will be the person whose experiences will reshape her kingdom as well. I cover everything I wouldn't go anywhere without her.
