The Walking Dead: Those Who Live debuted on AMC earlier this year and the series can now be purchased in physical format.
After debuting on AMC and AMC+ in February, The Walking Dead: Those Who Live was an immediate success. It had the largest premiere night audience for a new AMC series in six years and became the #1 trending topic on X the night of its debut airing. Additionally, the series set all-time ratings and customer acquisition records on AMC+ and became the #1 cable drama premiere of the 2023-24 television season in key demographics.

The Walking Dead: Those Who LiveAccording to the official synopsis, it's “the love story of Rick and Michonne. Changed by an ever-changing world, will they find themselves at war with the living or discover that they, too, are The Walking Dead?”
Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira lead the cast of the spin-off in their respective roles from the franchise, namely Rick Grimes and Michonne. Lincoln had previously starred in The Walking Dead since her first episode before leaving as a series regular in season 9. Gurira would later leave as a series regular in season 10; she had been with the show since season 3. Their characters would have their long-awaited reunion in Those who liveand the high viewership the spin-off got shows how much fans hoped this would happen.
Will there be other survivors?
It's not yet clear if there will be a continuation of the spinoff, although the Blu-ray Steelbook and DVD releases have been labeled “Season 1,” suggesting that AMC executives are at least open to the idea of a second season. As of now, no renewal has been confirmed, but it's still possible that a continuation could happen in the future. For now, the franchise will continue to expand with more spinoffs in the works. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has a second season coming soon, and after receiving an early renewal order, production on a third season is already underway. The show follows Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon and Melissa McBride as Carol.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan lead The Walking Dead: Dead Cityanother spin-off set in the world of The Walking DeadThe series has a second season on the way, but it remains to be seen if it will return for a third season.
