The Power Rangers franchise is known for its action-packed adventures, with each season in its 30-year run featuring a team of colorful heroes fighting to defend Earth from evil. While many Power Rangers fans prefer the earlier seasons, there are some genuinely great moments in the more recent seasons. The series has certainly delivered some great fight scenes in the last decade.
Several entries in the franchise aired from 2015 to 2024. These include Power Rangers Dino Charge, Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, Power Rangers Ninja Steel, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, Power Rangers Beast Morphers, Power Rangers Dino Fury, and Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Of these recent seasons, some fight scenes stood out as great moments in the franchise.

While Christmas episodes of Power Rangers weren’t unusual, the New Saban era made an effort to include a Christmas special in each season. Many of these episodes were rather underwhelming for fans, as they usually took place after the season’s events and featured very few interesting or impactful events. Super Ninja Steel’s Christmas special, however, did do a great bit of fan service.
When the Blue Ninja Steel Ranger, Preston, is transported to another dimension, he comes across Koda, the Blue Dino Charge Ranger. The two team up for a quick battle against the evil Sledge. While the action itself is great, what really made this fight scene fun was the fact that Preston and Koda’s actors, Peter and Yoshi Sudarso, are brothers in real life.
9 Dino Fury’s Green and Black Rangers Made a Stellar Debut
Izzy and Javi Garcia’s Fight Scene Was a Great Introduction
Series |
Power Rangers Dino Fury |
Episode |
“New Recruits” |
Release Date |
March 20th, 2021 |
It is always interesting when Power Rangers take their time introducing all the members of their team. Dino Fury followed the method of introducing three primary Rangers before the introduction of two more, later on, first seen in Power Rangers Ninja Storm. The fourth episode of the series introduced Javi and Izzy Garcia, a sibling duo who became the Black and Green Dino Fury Rangers.
The fight scene is a great introduction to the duo, with their first morph into their new suits. There’s an especially great moment in which Izzy rips the skirt off her ranger uniform, feeling it wasn’t really her style. This was a great way of explaining why the Green Ranger didn’t have a skirt in the Super Sentai (Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger) footage used in Dino Fury.

“Lightning Strikes” |

September 29th, 2023 |
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury had a lot to live up to. Not only was it the 30th anniversary season, but it was also meant to be the final season of the series before Netflix’s planned reboot for the franchise. The small number of episodes caused many fans to believe that the season would make good use of its budget in ways longer seasons weren’t able to. The very first scene of Cosmic Fury was a promising introduction to the season.
The scene is much more dynamic than many fights seen in Power Rangers, with the camera sweeping over the battlefield from high above as the Rangers take on their opponents. The fight also features some great characters, including the Mighty Morphin’ Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston, and the iconic Lord Zedd. This, as well as the inclusion of the Morphin’ Masters flying across the battlefield, made for a pretty epic fight sequence.
7 Once & Always Saw the Return of the Original Megazord
The Reunion Special Used CGI to Recreate the First Megazord
Title |
Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once & Always |
Release Date |
April 19th, 2023 |
Long-time Power Rangers fans were incredibly excited upon the release of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once & Always, which promised the return of the Mighty Morphin’ team. The Netflix special featured some great action scenes, with the higher budget and modern technology that the original Mighty Morphin’ series didn’t have. One fight scene that really stood out was the Megazord battle on the moon.
What really made this fight scene great was the CGI models of the Zords and Megazord, which really took the models used in the original series to a whole new level. The Zord summoning sequences, in particular, were really well done. Seeing the original Megazord again in its full glory, taking on a giant monster, made long-time fans feel very nostalgic.
6 The Orange Ranger Made an Epic Entrance
Cosmic Fury Introduced the First Official Orange Ranger

“Take Off” |
Release Date |
September 29th, 2023 |
Orange Rangers are not common in Power Rangers. While many Orange Rangers have appeared in Super Sentai, for most of the franchise’s run, Power Rangers’ only Orange Ranger was Boom from Power Rangers S.P.D., who appeared in a brief dream sequence. Cosmic Fury finally introduced the first official Orange Ranger to the franchise, with the character of Fern.
Fern’s first fight scene is really great, especially after the build-up of her character arc throughout the previous episodes. Her entrance is stellar, with the Rangers fighting the villains on a beach and seeing a monster blasted out of a cave before Fern flips out of the cave in her new suit, striking the monster as she lands. Her arrival completely changed the dynamic of the battle, giving the Rangers the advantage they needed.

“End of Extinction” |
Release Date |
November 19th, 2016 |
Power Rangers Dino Charge featured the largest number of Rangers in Power Rangers history, with eleven Rangers on the team. It was great to see this large team come together as one in the finale, alongside Heckyl, to destroy the Dark Energem. The Rangers divide into two Zords, flying up into space for the battle.
What was great about this fight scene was the emphasis on teamwork. Not only is this one of the few times in the series with all eleven Rangers in action, but the citizens of Amber Beach play a role as well, holding mirrors up to the sun to help destroy the Energem. This final battle was a great ending to the series, setting off a whole new timeline in which dinosaurs never went extinct.
4 The New Mighty Morphin’ Yellow Ranger Worked Well With the Original Team
Once & Always Featured the Mighty Morphin’ Team in a Spectacular Fight Scene
Title |
Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once & Always |
Release Date |
April 19th, 2023 |
Fans were heartbroken when it was revealed that the Mighty Morphin’ Yellow Ranger was killed by the revived robot Rita Repulsa in the opening of Once & Always. It felt like a great tribute to the character and the actress when her daughter, Minh, first morphed into the Yellow Ranger suit. This morph launches into a great fight scene in Rita Repulsa’s palace.
Seeing the Mighty Morphin’ suits in HD in the dark environment of Rita’s palace was great to see. The action and camera work made the fight look straight out of the BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin’ comics. The highlight of the scene was definitely when the Blue Ranger stabbed Rita from behind, in a rather unexpected manner.

The Cosmic Fury Team Were Rescued By Legacy Ranger Teams

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury |

“The End” |
Release Date |
September 29th, 2023 |
Cosmic Fury’s final battle had to feel epic, as it is the final big battle of the Power Rangers series. Cosmic Fury certainly did a good job at emphasizing the weight of the battle, with the Cosmic Fury Rangers fighting in space to get through the villains’ blockade while the other Ranger teams help protect Earth off-screen. Just as the Cosmic Fury Rangers are about to retreat from the battle, help arrives with a small army of Megazords.
It was great to see a group of Megazords from past seasons arriving to help the Cosmic Fury team. Led by Billy Cranston in the Mighty Morphin’ Megazord, the Astro Megazord from In Space, the Galaxy Megazord from Lost Galaxy, the Ninja Blaze Megazord from Ninja Steel, and the Beast X Megazord from Beast Morphers all arrive, breaking through the blockade. While these respective Ranger teams are not seen piloting the Zords, it was still great to see previous Ranger teams coming to help the Cosmic Fury Rangers in the final battle of the franchise, really emphasizing the history and legacy of the long-running franchise.

The 25th Anniversary Special Featured a Satisfying Ending Battle
Series |
Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel |
Episode |
“Dimensions in Danger” |
Release Date |
August 28th, 2018 |
For the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers, Super Ninja Steel featured a pretty great team-up episode with “Dimensions in Danger.” The episode followed the Ninja Steel team teaming up with returning Rangers from past seasons as they took on the evil Lord Draven and his army of robot Ranger clones. The big action scene at the climax of the episode was a highlight of both the episode and the season as a whole.
The fight featured the return of Rangers like Tommy Oliver, Mighty Morphin’s Kat and Rocky, Time Force’s Wes Collins, and Dino Thunder’s Trent. The battle featured some great wirework and explosions, with the Rangers pairing off to destroy the robot clones based on their respective colors. The battle really highlighted fan-favorite, Tommy, in his Mighty Morphin’ White Ranger form, using his Falcon Zord to defeat Lord Draven.
1 “Grid Connection” Joined Together Three Teams From Across the Franchise’s History
All the Dinosaur-Themed Teams Came Together to Defeat a Familiar Villain
Series |
Power Rangers Beast Morphers |
Episode |
“Grid Connection” |
Release Date |
October 24th, 2020 |
Beast Morphers featured an ambitious team-up episode with “Grid Connection,” which saw all the dinosaur-themed Ranger teams coming together to defeat the revived form of Mighty Morphin’s Goldar. While the Beast Morphers team themselves are not present, it was an epic moment when the Mighty Morphin’, Dino Thunder, and Dino Charge teams came together in a large rock quarry.
The fight scene really highlighted Jason Lee Scott, the original Mighty Morphin’ Red Ranger, who returned to the screen for the first time since Power Rangers Wild Force’s “Forever Red” anniversary special. Other returning Rangers included most of Dino Charge’s team, with the rest appearing in suit only. The final strike, in which the three teams combine their combined blasters into the ultimate weapon, was really great to see, with the epic Dino Charge theme music giving the moment a grand feeling.
