Amazon's new free-to-play MMORPG Throne And Liberty is coming for the Banana gaming crown

Throne And Liberty, Amazon and NCSOFT's RPG full of huge friendships, has already risen to the top of Steam's most played lists, even though it was only released yesterday. At the time of this writing, it ranks sixth, just behind Black Myth: Wukong; It's like getting the rocking chair at a fancy dinner party. Sure, you're 5% sure you'll break your neck at some point, but you still get to eat smoked salmon and giggles, so it's a good evening. There was a beta release earlier this year, which seems to have gone some way to generating serious interest. Still not on Banana's level, mind you.

Arc Raiders, the landing game from the developers of The Finals, is no longer free-to-play and is coming in 2025

Arc Raiders was announced as a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter in 2021 and has since been delayed several times. Partly because Embark Studios’ other in-development title, The Finals, went faster than planned and stole its momentum. It was also set to be remade as a PvPvE extraction shooter at some point.

Now it's back again, aiming for release next year, and it's been slightly overhauled: it's no longer free-to-play.
