I missed my chance to write about Hollywood Animals when a guy named Nic Reuben showed up like a rival showbiz talent scout and took advantage of the fact that I was stranded in an airport at the time to steal the Steam Fest summer demo from under my nose. Instead I wrote about a very crude Minesweeper “homage”. I hope this was for the best.

Anyway, I finally got a chance to take a bite at the apple, because the developers of Weappy Wholesome have announced an early access date for the old La La Land: January 16, 2025. Path Of Exile 2's early access release has been delayed until December to ensure your POE microtransactions continue

Game director Jonathan Rogers announced in a short YouTube video that the early access version of Path Of Exile 2 has been delayed by three weeks, from November 15 to December 6, 2024. The action RPG itself looks like it will be ready in time for its original release date, but there's a lot of “server-side infrastructure work” that needs to be done.

Windblown, the new cooperative hack-and-slash game from the developers of Dead Cells, is now out in Early Access

It looks great blowing in the wind. It's a 1-3 player action-roguelite where you fight quickly across floating islands, and I'm extremely interested in getting a feel for the gameplay for myself. Good news! I can convey the game feels now since it's released into Early Access today.

But if you watch the launch trailer below out of context, you might be fooled into thinking that this is actually the emo second half of an Isekai anime series.

Dead Cells developer's new action-roguelike Windblown is getting a demo and Early Access release this month

Windblown is an action roguelite very similar to developer Motion Twin's previous game, Dead Cells, but swaps the side-scrolling 'vania' vibes for a 3D and more colorful world and adds co-op for up to three friends. It sounds very appealing, and it now has a release date: October 24th.

Even better, a single-player demo is coming as part of Steam Next Fest on October 14th.
