Sylvester Stallone and Hulk Hogan Locked Up in Hit Sequel Rocky III. As the two watched their characters battle in a very physical scene, Stallone referenced Hogan's talent to tell how the WWE Hall of Famer actually took great care of him.
In a video interview, Hogan highly praised Stallone for holding his own during filming despite their obvious size difference. Hogan specifically highlighted how Stallone even lifted him into the air, emphasizing the actor's strength, “That was him!” The clip was posted on Instagram by Stallone, who shared some kind words of his own for Hogan in the caption. Stallone stressed that it's just watched as if he was hurting himself, thanks to Hogan's skills.
As Stallone said, “WOW, HULK was the best. Fantastic athlete and threw the most incredible punches of all. Because it was bare-handed I could actually feel his fist touching my skin. and yet he knew exactly when to back off… Amazing!”

At the time of filming, Hogan was still on the rise in the professional wrestling world, but he was not yet the megastar he would become in the 1980s. The release of the film helped to increase his star power, immensely fueling the phenomenon that would come to be called Hulkamania. Hogan would also remain in touch with Stallone, as the two had become friends after working together on Rocky IIIIn 2005, Stallone even inducted Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Hogan's role in Rocky III is among the most memorable of the entire saga, even though he wasn't the main antagonist. The sequel focused primarily on the feud between Stallone's Rocky Balboa and Mr. T's Clubber Lang, culminating in a major match between the two. Previously, Rocky attends an exhibition charity event with Hogan's character, a professional wrestler named Thunderlips. This marked Hogan's film debut before he went on to star in films such as No holds barred, Suburban CommandAND Mr. Tata.

Nowadays, Hogan does very little acting. His most recent role was voicing himself for the WWE animated series. WWE Camp in 2022; this occurred following a special appearance on The Goldbergs in 2019. In film, Hogan has not had a role since voicing a character in the 2011 film Gnomeo and JulietHe continues to make occasional appearances on WWE programming and recently attended a political event to support a U.S. presidential candidate.
As for Stallone, the Rocky The franchise star can now be seen leading the cast of the hit Paramount+ series King of TulsaThe second season is scheduled to debut on September 15. He is also present with his family in The Stallone Familya reality show premiering on Paramount+ in 2023.
