In 1988, Studio Ghibli enchanted audiences around the world with the adventures of the forest spirit from which the film takes its name. My Neighbor Totoro and his multi-limbed feline companion, Catbus. In honor of the famous duo, Studio Ghibli's online storefront has re-released its popular “Go! Catbus” toy, allowing fans to recreate scenes with the two anime icons.
As shown on Donguri Sora, Ghibli’s “Go! Catbus” toy features a cute replica of the Catbus and a small PVC figurine of Totoro. Standing approximately 7.6 inches tall and 11.8 inches long, the Catbus has mechanical legs that move when pushed. The roof can also be removed, allowing Totoro to be placed inside the hollow body of the Catbus, either towards the head or in the center of the body. Official images, included below, show Totoro “waving” at the viewer from the front windows.

In the year 1958, 10-year-old Satsuki, her 4-year-old sister Mei, and their father move into a new house in the countryside. Meanwhile, their mother spends her days recovering from an illness in a nearby hospital. Not long after settling in, the sisters realize that their house, along with the surrounding forest, is filled with a colorful assortment of nature spirits that cannot be seen by adults. They soon form a special bond with the titular Totoro, a giant guardian of the forest with a big smile and an even bigger heart.
