Jinan led House Va'ruun in the Great Serpent Crusade, igniting a holy war to cleanse the universe of unbelievers. Soon after Jinan's death, his son Jarek took control of House Va'ruun and ended the crusade, making an agreement with the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective, two of the good-aligned factions in Star field. Jarek's peaceful efforts would create a divide in House Va'ruun that would grow over decades.
Upon Jarek's death, his son, Anasko, became the President of House Va'ruun. In recent years, however, Anasko has been hidden from the public eye, residing in the Citadel of Scales. Without her guidance, tensions between Dazra's noble houses continue to grow. Events leading directly to Shattered space end with a catastrophic event occurring in Dazraand House Va'ruun must face the consequences.
