Starfield Beta Patch 1.14.68 Released and Fully Detailed

Starfield artwork

Bethesda has released a new beta update for Starfield on PC. Title Update 1.14.68 includes lighting changes, performance improvements, and bug fixes to make the game more stable, so let's take a closer look at what to expect.

Starfield Beta Patch 1.114.68 fixes an issue where only 255 creations could be loaded at once. It also improves the appearance of weapons and fixes bugs with weapon models. As mentioned, Bethesda has also improved the lighting. The patch also improves the player's head movement when leaving a conversation.

And that's not all. This update also fixes the behavior of crowds near The Well elevator in New Atlantis Spaceport when a fight starts. Additionally, robots and turrets can now be damaged by EM weapons.

Of course, this update includes a number of bug fixes for quests and locations. It also includes a number of bug fixes and optimizations for vehicles, UI, and audio.

In theory, this update should be compatible with most graphics mods. So it should work with Starfield HD Overhaul or Starfield HD Reworked. There should also be no issues with the HD texture packs we have released. However, it may not work with the mods that improve the game's lighting.

The update may also break compatibility with some gameplay mods. Since I haven't tested it, I don't know if it works with Disk Cache Enabler Mod or Sprinting Stuttering Fix.

As always, Steam will push this update once you opt into the beta branch of the game. You can also find the full changelog below.
