Focus Entertainment has just announced that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has sold two million copies across all platforms. The game officially launched yesterday, which means there have been plenty of pre-orders.
In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, you take on the role of a mighty Space Marine, one of the Emperor's greatest warriors. The game offers fantastic skills and really powerful weapons to wipe out the Tyranid enemies. You can also use your skills and defeat relentless hordes.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is powered by Saber Interactive's proprietary engine. This engine was also used in World War Z, which ran very well on PC. And as we've reported, an NVIDIA RTX 4090 can run it at 60 fps at native 4K on ultra settings.
The game does not support NVIDIA DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3.0 at launch, but Saber plans to add them via a post-launch update. Unfortunately, there is no estimated release date for that update.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 seems to be pretty optimized for PC. At least if you're using a modern CPU. After all, the game puts a LOT of enemies on screen. As for GPU requirements, an NVIDIA RTX2080Ti can hit 60 fps at 1080p/Ultra.
Also, it's worth noting that Space Marine 2 doesn't use Denuvo anti-tampering technology. This is great news, as some may have thought piracy would be a big problem here. The game also had a peak of 225,000 concurrent players on Steam, meaning it sold well on PC. It also has mostly positive reviews on Steam.
And that's it. From what I've played, Space Marine 2 is a great third-person action game, so I'm happy to see it's selling well (sales-wise).
Stay tuned for more!
