2K Games and Firaxis Games have announced that Sid Meier's Civilization VII will be released on February 11, 2025. In addition, the teams have released the game's first gameplay trailer, which you can find below.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII is a 4X strategy game developed by the legendary team at Firaxis Games, developers of the Civilization and XCOM franchises.
In this game, you rule as one of many legendary rulers throughout history. Build your civilization, construct cities and architectural wonders to expand your territory, conquer rival civilizations or cooperate with them to gain prosperity, and explore the farthest corners of the unknown world.
Earlier this month, Firaxis announced that Civ 7 will not use the 2K launcher. In addition, the developers confirmed that you won't need a 2K account to play offline. However, you will need to use a 2K account to play online. Still, it's at least good to know that the game won't force you to create a 2K account. You hear that, Sony?
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
