Poker face Season 1 featured a slew of guest stars, and the upcoming second season is set to follow suit. The latest actors to join the Peacock series are some of television’s most recognizable faces.
For varietyCynthia Erivo, Margo Martindale and BJ Novak have signed on to appear in Poker face along with series protagonist Natasha Lyonne. Novak is best known for his role as Ryan from The officeHis work on the series also earned him five Emmy nominations. Martindale has won three Emmys for his roles in The Americans AND Justified, while Erivo will be the protagonist in the next Evil movie to be released in theaters on November 22. He had previously received two Oscar nominations for his work in Arrieta.
The trio joins Katie Holmes, Giancarlo Esposito, Gaby Hoffmann, Kumal Nanjiani, Ben Marshall, Sherry Cola, Kevin Corrigan and Katherine Narducci, who were previously announced as guest starsThe lineup is in line with Season 1, which featured acclaimed actors Ron Perlman, Adrien Brody, Ellen Barkin, Simon Helberg, Nick Nolte, Rhea Perlman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hong Cau and Lil Rel Howery, who appeared at various points throughout the series.
Poker Face is a favorite among viewers and critics
Created by Rian Johnson, the crime comedy-drama follows casino worker Charlie Cale (Lyonne), who can tell when someone is lying.. According to the official synopsis, “she hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda, and at every stop, she encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can't help but solve.” The 10-episode first season received rave reviews from critics, with Lyonne being nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Peacock's hit crime series Poker Face ends with Charlie Cale trying to evade his pursuers, only to discover there's someone worse on the other side.
The series, renewed for a second season in 2023, began production on new episodes in July 2024. Writer and director Tony Tost marked the event with a clapperboard image from the set, which he posted on social media. The clapperboard sign revealed that the cast and crew were working on the second episode of the season and that series star Natasha Lyonne would direct the episode.
Johnson previously expressed his hopes for the future of the series, saying that he wants to continue telling Charlie's story.We want to continue to do that and I feel like it's constructed in such a way that there's a long-term story, but it's a bit similar to the story of Sam who will come home Quantum leap,” he said. “It doesn't really matter, it's just an engine to keep it on the road and keep it moving and keep doing these little mysteries and having exciting people in them. Our goal is just to keep doing it as long as we can.”
Poker face The second season does not currently have a release date.
