Treyarch has released the first post-launch update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The October 26th patch is around 500MB in size on PC and you can find the full changelog below. So let's take a look at what it entails.
This first patch mainly brings optimizations and changes to the Zombies and MP modes. So don't expect any optimizations or improvements for the single player campaign. The developers didn't address anything at all. As a result, the game still crashes when playing the campaign, even on high-end PC systems.
I've also seen complaints about DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0 not working. However, both technologies work on the Steam version (and the Battlenet version). The GamePass version, on the other hand, seems to lack DLSS 3 support. This doesn't really surprise me as this has happened in a few other games too.
While the October 26 patch doesn't improve the single-player campaign, it should at least make the game more stable in both the main menu and Zombies mode. It also fixes an issue that occasionally prevented games from quickly finding a replacement player if another player left the game.
Additionally, this update improves performance when watching clips in theaters. It also improves server stability in the training course. Additionally, XP and weapon XP rates will be increased for modes that gave less XP than expected.
As always, Steam and Battlenet will download this update the next time you launch their clients. You can also find the full changelog below.
