Dragon Age: The Veilguard's release date has been revealed in a last-minute leak, thanks to a mischievous video teaser. Electronic Arts had planned to reveal the game's release date in about… *checks watchless wrist* … 7 hours from now, as part of a special release date trailer. But the internet will always be the internet, and thanks to one bug or another, we've gotten this info a little early. Shall I tell you what the real release date is? Sure. I think so.

The very purple RPG is coming out on October 31st, according to a rebellious ad caught by Wario64 and others who enjoyed the Xitter leak. I've included the upcoming release trailer though, so you can enjoy it when it finally comes out. I haven't seen it yet, so let's see if I can correctly predict what's in it.
- A creature squeals and is sad
- A wizard crossed his arms arrogantly
- VFX dismantles a bunch of wooden crates
- Varric looks suggestively at the camera
Did any of that happen? As you can see, I struggle. I jumped off the Dragon Age tour bus after Dragon Age 2 took the series out of its world-crossing tour and focused on a (I think) fairly uninteresting city. The opening area of Dragon Age: Inquisition didn’t invigorate me. But I know many people enjoyed the trials of these wizarding oddballs. “I think Dragon Age II, which has been unfairly maligned, is about a city that has been struggling with internal and external conflict for a long time,” Alice B once said. “Inquisition is about a world at war with itself, literally and figuratively.” There’s also a fun section where you crash a fancy masquerade ball.
It's been a while since Inquisition launched, so you'd be forgiven for not knowing why the elven wizard Solas suddenly opened a suspicious portal. Fortunately, Veilguard will move you through the story and even let you stick to your old choices if you can remember them.
