In April 2024 we released the first part of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Dodongo's Cavern Remake in UE5.4. And today we are happy to report that CryZENx has released the full version of it in Unreal Engine 5.4.4. This is free for everyone, so be sure to get it because this is one of the best fan remakes we have ever seen.
This fan remake of Ocarina of Time has been pushed to the latest version of Unreal Engine 5, UE5.4.4. I'm sure this project doesn't take advantage of the new features in UE5.4.4. However, we know it uses Lumen. However, I don't know if DLSS 3 is supported. If not, CryZENx should add support for it.
This Zelda fan game lets you explore the environment and fight against multiple enemies. You can also use your ocarina, break objects, collect items, and talk to NPCs. In addition, this fan remake of this classic N64 Zelda game in Unreal Engine 5 also features some cutscenes and an inventory system. In short, it's more than your typical “Remake of a map from a popular game in UE5“-projects.
Over the past few years, CryZENx has been recreating many areas from Ocarina of Time in UE5, so this fan remake can finally give you an idea of what a modern remake of this classic Zelda game might look like. And as with all fan remakes, some will love it while others will hate it.
You can download the full version of Zelda Ocarina Of Time Dodongo's Cavern in Unreal Engine 5.4.4 from this link. There is also a video about it below. This video can give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from it.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 demo, a Halo 3: ODST remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 demo. There's also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic's engine. Also, don't forget the remake of the Halo level from Halo: Combat Evolved in UE5 or this free Attack on Titan game. Last month, we also shared a demo of King's Field 2 in UE5. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest reinvented in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, and a Diablo 2 remake demo. They all look amazing, so be sure to check them out.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
