At the beginning of the month we already informed you about an HD texture pack for Bloodborne, which is intended to rework some of the game's textures. And today we present you the second large HD texture pack for it. As the title suggests, all of the game's textures are being reworked in this approximately 10 GB pack.
To go into more detail, modder “Giorma” used AI tools to improve the original textures. This way, the new textures retain the art style of the original textures. In addition, the modder plans to improve all weapons in an upcoming update.
PC gamers can download this pack from this link and use it with shadPS4. Reports say you can play Bloodborne from start to finish on shadPS4. While the emulation isn't perfect, there don't seem to be any issues with gameplay.
In addition, shadPS4 can now run other 3D games as well. Gravity Rush Remastered is one of them. GRR is not fully playable. However, it can be brought into play using the latest version of this PS4 emulator. The performance also seems to be great, which surprised me. I have included a video of it below, so check it out.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with shadPS4. At first, I thought Bloodborne would be playable on PC in early 2025. But right now, this game could be fully playable in a few months. That's crazy.
I really don't know how ShadPS4 managed to do this. The progress they're making is insane. And we're talking about a PlayStation 4 emulator. Let that sink in. I still don't think it's as mind-blowing as Yuzu was when development first started.
All in all, we're approaching a time when an official PC port of Bloodborne will be pointless. Bloodborne can already run in 4K and at 60fps. And now we have more detailed textures. All we really need now is for the shadPS4 to remove all the visual and emulation issues. Then we need proper KB&M controls. And when we have them, Bloodborne will run and look incredible on PC.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
