Boss Team Games has announced two new games based on two iconic horror franchises. Developed by WayForward, RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead AND RetroRealms: Halloween will arrive this fall.
Boss Team Games will release both games, which can be purchased separately or as a physical collection, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox on October 18. RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Deadplayers will take on the role of Ash Williams as they battle a host of enemies and demonic entities. Slasher horror legend Michael Myers is at the forefront of RetroRealms: Halloweenwith players controlling the character. Fans who purchase both games can swap out the main characters as a bonus.

Fans can purchase RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead AND RetroRealms: Halloween, now available for pre-order on Amazon, digitally for $24.99, while both games will collectively be available physically for $49.99. A collector’s edition, available for $79.99, includes a copy of the game, a VHS-inspired case, a Halloween poster, a deck of trading cards, and a Michael Myers plush. Two extra playable characters, Laurie Strode and Kelly Maxwell, will be included, with pre-orders of both games placed prior to the release date offering the characters.

Halloween Will Get a Second Unreal Engine 5 Game Starring John Carpenter
Boss Team previously announced RetroRealms: Halloween and a second Halloween game developed in Unreal Engine 5, with John Carpenter, the director of the original film, attached to the project. The publisher revealed that the game, still in early development, will allow players to “relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time.” Halloween Director Carpenter expressed excitement for the upcoming Halloween game and his involvement. “As a big gamer, I’m thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life in this game and I hope to scare the crap out of you,” he said.
