My Time At Evershine promises to bring a new art style and expanded co-op to the farming life sim

Farm life sim snow clone My Time At X is getting a third entry. My Time At Evershine looks to feature more planting, harvesting, kissing, and fighting, similar to previous games My Time At Portia and My Time At Sandrock, but with a new art style, campaign co-op, and city-building elements. You'll get a look at the new art style in the announcement trailer below.

The art style is still clearly anime-influenced, but the characters have more realistic proportions than in previous games. The overall effect seems designed specifically to make boys hot, and fair play, they know their audience.

All systems also seem to be getting some sort of boost. There's a new story campaign that promises a “more defined enemy.” The campaign can now be played both cooperatively and solo. You can still build facilities and expand your town, but you can now recruit and customize NPCs to handle daily tasks in that town. You can befriend and kiss people, and you can also recruit up to three followers to boss around.

In our 2019 review of My Time At Portia , we found it an ambitious and engaging game, but perhaps one that pushed its ideas and resources too far. In our early access review of My Time At Sandrock , meanwhile, we found a similarly comprehensive but more polished game even in its early stages of development, “an engaging and richly detailed life simulator with an endlessly rewarding mining and building cycle, and a variety of career paths so richly designed that it's hard to keep track of them all.” More, then, seems like an intriguing prospect.

Developers Pathea Games say they already have a significant development budget for My Time At Evershine, but as with previous games, they're turning to Kickstarter to help expand the scope of development. You can sign up here to get notified when crowdfunding goes live.
