Since New Mutants was released in 1983, 20 years after the historic Uncanny X-Men comics began, Marvel has published multiple X-Men comics monthly. From team books like X-Force and X-Factor to solo runs like Wolverine and Cable, each series followed different mutants and offered a unique perspective on the Marvel Universe.

Nowadays, Marvel publishes over a dozen X-titles each month. For X-Men fans, this means there’s plenty of epic content to enjoy. However, keeping track of their favorite mutants can get tricky. With all the high-stakes adventures the X-Men undertake across their ongoing and limited comic series, having a reference guide is the perfect way for fans to stay in the loop.

Wolverine: Deep Cut #2 Turns Logan Inside Out

After bringing readers back to one of the most mysterious eras in Logan’s mythos, Wolverine: Deep Cut has given fans a glimpse of just where the titular mutant antihero disappeared to nearly four decades ago. Unfortunately, there is nothing good to be found for him there, especially not when he is caught in the clutches of the Marauders.

Now that he has dealt with a clone of Sabretooth crafted by Mister Sinister, Deep Cut has Wolverine hunt down eight Marauders. While that may not seem like much, every one of them has their own mind-bending power to contend with. What’s more, there is no telling how bad things will get before Logan finally attains the revenge he has been after for so long.

X-Force #2 Pits Forge’s New Team Against an Entire Country of Veritable Heroes

While the X-Men are busy protecting new mutants and X-Factor are trying to win over the hearts and minds of the general public, the mutant heroes of X-Force are doing everything they can to save the world from threats it doesn’t even know about. In the case of their latest mission, that means dropping into the middle of Wakanda entirely uninvited, which has always been a surefire recipe for disaster.

Regardless of the consequences of such trespass, Forge is more than willing to lead his team right into the thick of it. That isn’t just a testament to his innate heroism but to the faith he has put in his Analog, the device that has been pointing his team in every direction it goes. With any luck, it will have again brought them to the right place. Otherwise, the journey to Black Panther’s homeland might be the last that Forge’s X-Force ever makes.

Uncanny X-Men #1 Reintroduces a Classic Team in the Wake of Krakoa’s Fall

While the likes of X-Force are busy keeping to the shadows wherever they can, the new lineup of Uncanny X-Men is more than happy to fight their battles in broad daylight. Of course, they are fighting epic battles that are almost impossible to keep hidden, though that hardly matters as much as the fact that these heroes are willing to do so in the first place.

Comprised of Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler, this Uncanny X-Men crack team is ready for almost anything coming their way. And, when what comes their way is a series of young mutants with no idea what to do about their newfound powers, there is no better lineup to show them exactly what it means to be a member of the X-Men.

X-Men #3 Pushes Marvel’s Foremost Mutant Heroes to a Whole New Brink

Among the many X-Teams to have risen up during From the Ashes following the fall of the Krakoan Era is the latest lineup of the X-Men in their purest form. And, as fans would expect, these X-Men have had as difficult a time as any when making a place for themselves in the post-Krakoan age, even after making it a point to remove themselves as far from humanity as possible. From their new headquarters in the Alaskan wilderness, the X-Men have launched several successful missions to help emergent mutants come to terms with and even survive their newfound powers.

Tragically, the X-Men still have plenty of enemies who are more than happy to work against them while the team is distracted, not to mention some human neighbors who aren’t all that keen on having mutants taking up space in their neck of the woods. Even worse, how the X-Men handle both of those issues will decide exactly what their future looks like, and the number of options in that regard are only getting smaller by the day.

Phoenix #2 Reunites Jean Grey with the In-Law She Didn’t Know She Was Missing

Most of the world’s mutants have been content to carve out lives for themselves across the globe in the wake of Krakoa’s fall, but Jean Grey has opted for a decidedly different view than anything Earth can offer. Instead, she has taken her mission into the cosmos, where the Phoenix can fly free.

This isn’t any major surprise, as Jean has long sought ways to help those in need. That means she is especially lucky when, while traversing a decaying spacecraft, she comes face-to-face with none other than her father-in-law Christopher Summers, better known as the captain of the Starjammers – Corsair. At the same time, Jean and Corsair don’t necessarily have the best of histories, nor are their ideas for the future so in line with one another that this particular family reunion will go over smoothly.

Ultimate X-Men (Vol. 2) #6 Finally Pits the Shadow King Against a Fan-Favorite Mutant Hero

The new Ultimate Marvel Universe has been a hotbed of fantastical and horrifying stories since it was introduced in the pages of Ultimate Invasion #1, and the titles that have cropped up in the time since have kept that trend running. This is especially true regarding Marvel’s Ultimate X-Men, which has finally given its Hisako Ichiki, aka Armor, a chance to stand up against the Shadow who has been tormenting her from the start.

While this appears to be a classic battle between good and evil on the surface, things are infinitely more complicated than that. The Shadow is certainly a villain, but it is quickly becoming clear that its host is just as much a victim as anyone else. Worse still, there is no telling how far the mystery behind its emergence goes, nor what Hisako and her friends will find when they ultimately get to the bottom of it.

NYX #2 Drops Marvel’s Other Wolverine Into a Fight She Cannot Win

Among all the places in the world where displaced mutants have made a new home for themselves, New York City is by far the brightest. It also just so happens to be among the most harrowing, especially when there is a new underground organization preying on young, unwitting mutants who have nowhere else to go nor anyone else to call upon for help.

Thankfully, Laura Kinney, better known as Wolverine, is already hot on the trail of whoever, or whatever, has been terrorizing NYC’s once more emerging mutant community. Of course, that doesn’t mean she is prepared for the fight that awaits her. Then again, it isn’t long before she realizes that she doesn’t actually have to do any of this alone, and at that rate, it is only a matter of time before her new allies join her on the battlefield to be the heroes their fellow mutants need them to be.

X-Factor #1 Proves That Not Every Superstar Lineup is Built for Success

The X-Factor name has been ascribed to various teams over the years, but the new lineup is one of the best of all time by far. At least, they are for as long as they can hold themselves together, which unfortunately is only long enough to prove how absolutely out of their element they truly are.

Even though this new X-Factor has genuine all-star mutant heroes such as Angel and Frenzy leading the charge, they are woefully unprepared for the attention they have garnered and their steep competition. All it takes is one wrong move for multiple team members to be taken out. However, not even those kinds of losses are enough to make the government give up on their latest officially sanctioned roster of heroes, even if they have to replace nearly half of them right out the gate.

Exceptional X-Men #1 Gives an X-Men Icon a New Mission She Never Asked For

With the end of the Krakoan Era, mutants all over the globe have been forced to seek out new lives for themselves wherever they can, assuming they don’t have any old ones to return to. For Kate Pryde, this means leaving behind a life of brutal violence in exchange for something far more quiet in the suburbs of Chicago, or it would if she could ever escape the trouble that constantly follows her.

This isn’t to say that Kate is wandering directly into harm’s way by any fault of her own, but rather that there is always some shocking new development just waiting to engulf her entire life. Right now, that development has come in the form of a new mutant who is about to become Kate’s biggest fan and might be the start of an entirely new lineup of budding young heroes.

Wolverine Annual #1 Continues the Latest Infinity Stone Saga

Over his decades-long career as one of Marvel’s foremost mutant heroes, Wolverine has gone up against almost every threat the Marvel Universe has to offer. From hunter-killer robots to cosmic entities, nothing has been able to keep Wolverine down for long, and a couple of Infinity Stone wielders are about to find out why that is for themselves.

Both the Power Stone-wielding Prince Otherone and Ward, the young synthezoid who possesses the Soul Stone, have recently crossed paths with Wolverine. While traveling together, they couldn’t have more different ideas of what comes next. Thankfully, the demons fueling Otherone’s fury aren’t far out of reach for Ward’s Soul Stone, nor are they more than Logan can handle.
