Marvel Reveals First Look at MCU Fantastic Four Costumes

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is about to be completely different as it enters the year with its content Fantastic Four: First Steps2025. With the enthusiasm it is arousing, Marvel Studios Releases First Look at Team Costumesgiving fans a glimpse of what Marvel's First Family will look like in their MCU debut.




The reveal took place during the D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Marvel Studios showed off the new costumes, which differ from the concept art originally released when the cast was first revealed. Dressed in versions of the Fantastic Four costumes with white sleeves and a blue waistband was Joseph Quinn, set to play Johnny Storm, a far cry from the dark-rendered versions of the costumes shown in the initial concept art.

When Marvel first announced the cast for Fantastic Four: First StepsThey also released official concepts of Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, Sue Storm and Ben Grimm, all in traditional blue suits with white details. The first designs featured blue suits, white collars and boots, and a white circle in the center of the chest with the iconic number “four” written in blue in the center.

Of course, the actual costumes shown at D23 showed a more detailed look, with a lot of white present in the costume. For example, Quinn's costume as Johnny Storm features a white upper arm but with the color extending from the sleeves and around the collar with black and white gloves. Finally, his Fantastic Four logo has been updated: on his chest, a much larger white circle surrounds a smaller blue circle. Blue pants, but overall very obvious in the John Byrne era Fantastic Four reference to the comic.


Next up was the Byrne era in the 1980s, which was a radical departure from the traditional black and blue uniform they had come to be known for. He ditched the black and went for the now-famous white and blue jumpsuits which, again, quickly became iconic in their own right. And while aspects of that show up in Marvel's new live-action adaptation, this latest collection has a bit more design packed into it — most noticeably with the white sleeves and modified collar design, elements that are new to the film's depiction compared to the comic book version.

What is most surprising to most people is the fact that Fantastic Four: First Steps It will be set in the 1960s.
