New Iron Man Writer's Dreams Come True in New Series
Marvel's new Iron Man series is written by Spencer Ackerman, who received the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for his coverage of Edward Snowden's revelations about global surveillance. In Marvel's press release for Iron Man #1, Ackerman talked about his prestigious award and how it compares to working on the new series.
“Winning a Pulitzer is great and all, but that's not writing for Marvel Comics,” Ackerman said. “And writing Iron Man It's a very specific dream come true. Many of the best comic book creators have used Iron Man to tell great stories about safety and freedom, with plenty of superhero action, of course, and I can't wait to continue their legacy.”
Iron Man Issue #1 will be on sale October 23 from Marvel Comics.
