YouTube's Punish has released a video showing an hour of gameplay footage from the latest preview build of Empires of the Ants. This video gives you a pretty good idea of how the game works, so you should check it out if you're interested.
In Empire of the Ants, you strategize for world domination. It's all about making smart moves to keep your colony alive. You'll explore, fight, and even team up with other creatures to thrive and build the ultimate ant empire.
The game is intended to be a real-time strategic experience that is closely based on the book series. Players will immerse themselves in a microscopic world and use their strategic skills to help their colony thrive in real time. The concept certainly sounds cool. Whether the game will be as good remains to be seen. Still, I'm pretty interested.
Empire of the Ants will have a photorealistic forest where players will meet and interact with other ants and forest creatures. The game will also have day and night environments. The game will use the Unreal Engine 5 and the developers have claimed that there will be day, night, dawn and dusk TODs. I suspect that we will experience a real-time day-night cycle. We can also expect the game to take advantage of Lumen.
Microids will release this game on November 7th. You can find the preliminary PC requirements here.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
