VGC has released a video showing 27 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage from Silent Hill 2 Remake. This is the first 27 minutes of the game, so avoid it if you don't want to experience the game for yourself. In addition, Konami has released the official story trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake, which you can also find below.
Silent Hill 2 Remake will give players a masterclass in psychological horror with chilling visuals and haunting sounds on the latest hardware. The developers have confirmed that ray tracing and other cutting-edge technical improvements will be supported. You can also look forward to new immersive soundscapes.
The remake will feature larger environments than the original title, allowing players to explore locations and buildings that were previously inaccessible. Bloober Team has also added some new areas to the game.
Silent Hill 2 Remake will also feature an updated combat system. Players will be able to evade attacks with well-timed dodges, aim with scopes, and more, making monster encounters more exciting and nerve-wracking than ever.
As I said before, Silent Hill 2 Remake will use Unreal Engine 5. In October 2022, Bloober Team also shared its initial PC system requirements. According to them, an NVIDIA RTX2080 could run it at 1080p/High/30fps. Since these PC specs were released two years ago, I'm curious if Konami will update them. For now, Steam still lists the same PC requirements.
Konami will release Silent Hill 2 Remake on October 8th.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
