Bokeh Game Studio had a playable demo for its upcoming third-person game Slitterhead at PAX West 2024. And luckily, Gematsu has released three videos of it. These videos will give you your first proper look at the game. In addition, they contain around 24 minutes of new gameplay footage from it. So this will please most who are looking forward to it.
Slitterhead is set in the crowded and chaotic streets of “Kowlong”. In the game, players take on the role of “Hyoki”, a mysterious being with no memory and no physical body. Hyoki's mission is simple: to hunt down and destroy the terrifying “Slitterheads”. But what are Slitterheads? Well, Slitterheads are basically monsters that hide among the people of the city by disguising themselves as humans.
Players must seek out allies among humans, known as “Rarities,” as they roam the game's bright neon-lit cityscape. They must infiltrate and track down dangerous organizations and engage in battles that use the power of blood. Additionally, players will unravel the mystery behind Hyoki's existence and the emergence of the Slitterheads.
Since Hyoki does not have a physical body, he can take control of human bodies at any time. He can use this ability to turn people into his pawns, bypass barriers, and impersonate certain people to get to dangerous places. By quickly switching between bodies, he can also move very quickly through the city.
Although human bodies are weak, Hyoki can use their life force to transform blood into weapons that he can use to fight the savage Slitterheads. Hyoki can also possess “rarities,” which are special people who can synchronize well with him. This allows him to perform stronger attacks and use different skills.
Slitterhead will be released on November 8th for PC. You can find the PC system requirements here.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
