First-person/over-the-shoulder mod for Silent Hill 3 released

Remember the first-person/over-the-shoulder mod we shared for Silent Hill 4 last week? Well, a similar mod was just released for Silent Hill 3.

This mod was created by modder “ZealotTormunds” and allows you to play Silent Hill 3 with new cameras. Its main feature is the over-the-shoulder camera, which makes the game feel more like the modern remakes of Resident Evil. And then we have the experimental first-person perspective.

To install the mod, you need to drag and drop all the files from the .rar file into your SH3 root folder. The mod is also compatible with Steam006's fix (and it is HIGHLY recommended to play this way). To open the mod menu, pause the game with ESC and then press F1. This only works if your game is paused (it's the opposite of the SH4 mod). Also, the modder added F2 as a hotkey to turn the camera mod on and off during gameplay.

You can download the mod via this link. You can also find a trailer for it below.

I also suggest checking out similar first-person mods for some other triple-A games. Both Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands now have cool body cam first-person mods. Then we have these FPS mods for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The classic Max Payne 2 also got a first-person mod. And yes, you can also play Hogwarts Legacy, Palworld, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, The Witcher 3, Lies of P, and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in first-person. For anyone who's interested, there are similar mods for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 4 Remake. And if you play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, you can use this first-person mod too. Finally, there is no information yet about when the FPS mod for The Last of Us Part I will be released.

Have fun!
