First God of War Ragnarok PC patch released and with all details

God of War Ragnarok Feature 3

Jetpack Interactive has released the first patch for the PC version of God of War: Ragnarok and shared the full changelog, so let's take a look at what fixes this first update brings.

According to the release notes, this first major update fixes some issues with NVIDIA's technologies. For example, it fixes the issue where NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation was not working, so RTX 40 series owners can use it over AMD FSR 3.1 FG. In addition, it fixes an issue with NVIDIA Reflex that was showing as disabled in the UI when enabling Frame Generation. In addition, it fixes some timing markers with NVIDIA Reflex.

It's also worth noting that the game no longer prevents GPUs with less than 6GB of VRAM from launching the game, so you no longer need to use a mod to get around this, but the developers still recommend using a GPU with 6GB of VRAM.

Jetpack also fixed an audio issue that was bugging many PC gamers. With this update, surround sound will no longer apply stereo audio mixing, which will prevent some sounds from being too quiet or too loud.

These are pretty much all the complaints I had about the game, so the fact that Jetpack fixed them so quickly is good news for pretty much everyone.

As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch the client. From what I could see, it's relatively small (around 12MB in size). You can also find the full changelog below. Oh, and be sure to read our PC performance analysis on it.
