Level Infinite and Sharkmob have released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming tactical open-world extraction shooter Exoborne. Alongside the trailer, the team confirmed Exoborne's presence at this year's Gamescom at Level Infinite's booth, as well as an upcoming closed beta test.
Exoborne is currently in development for PC and consoles and will be released in 2025.
As mentioned, Exoborne is an open world tactical extraction shooter set in a United States that has been transformed by the apocalypse and the forces of nature that have gone out of control.
Exoborne sends groups and teams of players into a hostile online world where they take on the role of Reborn, exceptional survivors able to wield powerful Exo-Rigs in a world plagued by warring factions, deadly elemental chaos, and other hostile Reborns.
Using their Exo-Rig abilities, Reborn can survive the wild forces of nature and channel that raw power into combat and movement. Public events, ever-changing threats from the world itself, and risky missions let players write their own story every time they enter the world.
One of Exoborne's big features will be nature and weather. As the press release states, players will battle through elemental chaos in a world where conditions are constantly changing.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of extraction shooters, so this isn't my thing. If you like these types of games, you should at least watch the gameplay trailer.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
