First Final Fantasy 16 PC title update released and detailed

Square Enix has released the first update for the PC version of Final Fantasy 16 and revealed its full changelog. This patch is approximately 200MB in size and improves game stability, adds controller options, and fixes several other issues.

According to SE, Title Update 1.01 fixes an issue where the frame rate would drop under certain conditions. Additionally, it enables Bluetooth connectivity for DualSense and DUALSHOCK controllers.

As mentioned earlier, this patch will improve the stability of the game. More specifically, it fixes cases where the game closed unexpectedly when executing certain commands or under certain conditions.

Additionally, this patch fixes character graphics not displaying properly on certain screens. It also fixes some UI issues and cases of incorrect text display.

Since this is a small patch, it does not bring any major performance improvements or optimizations. So don't expect the game to run better with this. As mentioned earlier, FFXVI is a GPU-heavy PC game. So I'm curious to see if the developers can improve performance with some post-launch updates.

By the way, the game doesn't suffer from any major stutters. Square Enix has already fixed it in both the PC demo and the final version. And since the PC demo is representative of the performance of the final version, I recommend downloading it. Well, that is if you're interested.

Finally, the game's cutscenes are still locked at 30 fps. Additionally, FF16 does not support ultra-wide PC monitors. Therefore, you need to continue using this mod.

As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. You can find the full changelog below.
