Fallout 4 gets a large-scale “zombie apocalypse” fan expansion set in the state of Vermont

Fans of Fallout 4, we have something for you today. Modder “Yogibird111” just released a pretty cool fan expansion that adds a brand new world map to Fallout 4. And since it’s a new piece of free content for the game, we highly recommend downloading it.

To be more specific, Fallout Vermont is a large-scale “zombie apocalypse” mod set in the state of Vermont. In this expansion, players help the locals fight off the savages and slowly uncover a devious conspiracy lurking in the shadows.

Players can explore the world and talk to people to find out what to do. They will meet many interesting characters and factions. In addition, all characters are fully voiced and lip-synced.

To get to Vermont, you'll need to use a secret tunnel north of Sanctuary Hills. Luckily, there's a marker on the map so you can easily find it.

You can download Fallout Vermont from this link. Note that the mod works with the downgraded GOG version of F4. It also requires the Far Harbor DLC. In theory, it should work with the next-gen version as well.

If you're interested in Fallout 4, you might also be interested in these other mods for it. For example, there's a LOD mod that reduces pop-ins from distant objects/shadows/textures. Then we have the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. There's also a mod that adds ragdoll physics and dead body collisions. Another great mod is this one that fixes the game's long loading times. DirectHit is a mod that overhauls the enemy AI. And let's not forget this mod that deals real location-based damage to all enemies. We also have this mod that adds 10 drivable cars/vehicles with Havok physics to the game, as well as this Enhanced Movement Mod.

To improve graphics or performance, you can use the following mods. For example, there are various HD texture packs. You can download either this 8K texture pack or this 41GB 4K texture pack that optimizes all 40,962 textures. There is also a mod that improves the faces of over 1450 NPCs. Finally, there is a mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2, and Intel XeSS. Oh, and there is a mod that adds AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation to the game.

Let's also not forget the DLC-sized expansion mods you can get for F4. Fallout New Vegas Remake in Fallout 4 is an unreleased mod that we're really excited about. Then we have Fallout: Miami. America Rising 2 is another fan DLC/expansion mod that integrated the Enclave faction into the main story with 24 main quests. Caves Of The Commonwealth is another fan expansion that adds 2-5 hours of new game content. Let's also not forget Fallout London, which looks promising. You can also download Sim Settlements 2 – Chapter 3, Whispering Hills, a cool Silent Hill mod, and The Wilderness Mod. You can also download a new horror quest mod inspired by Lovecraft, Resident Evil, and Dead Space. Last month, we shared another quest mod for that as well. Oh, and the Mass Effect Evolution mod is back up for download.

Have fun and stay tuned for more!
