The Farm 51 has just announced the sequel to Chernobylite, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone aims to combine open-world combat, crafting, team and base management, and non-linear storytelling into an immersive and realistic post-apocalyptic action RPG.
The game will be released for PC in 2025. You can find the announcement trailer below.
And that's all. The Farm 51 has not yet released an official press release about the game. The game's Steam store page is also not online yet.
If I had to guess, I'd say IGN has an exclusive 24-hour deal, so we should get a press release tomorrow with more details on that. I'll be sure to update the story once that happens.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
UPDATE:
The Steam store page appears to have just gone live, so here are a few more details about the game.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apo action RPG game that combines free exploration of a vast and extremely realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management with non-linear storytelling. You are a Planewalker traveling through parallel worlds in search of the valuable, energy-rich material called Chernobylite. Cut off from the world, trapped in the Zone, attacked by hordes of nightmarish creatures, you must fight for survival and unite the handful of remaining survivors.
Players explore the large and realistic open world of the real Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Chernobylite has taken over the zone and changed many of its elements, and people are trying to defend themselves against it using prototype technology.
In the game you can create and develop your hero. Attributes and skills affect the effectiveness of the battle as well as the conversation style.
In Chernobylite 2, players will fight for survival using an advanced close combat system or keep their enemies at a distance using a diverse arsenal of firearms. In addition, the game offers a stealth approach and the ability to ask others for help. And yes, there will also be support for team building. You can even expand your base. There you can craft valuable items and improve your weapons on a daily basis. Assign tasks to your people and they will take care of your equipment and supplies.
