Demi Moore Shares Positive Update on Bruce Willis' Health

Since being diagnosed with aphasia and retiring in 2022, Bruce Willis has spent his days receiving a lot of love from his family. This includes frequent visits from his ex-wife Demi Moore, with whom Willis has three children and has maintained a close friendship following their divorce.

According to Deadline, Moore shared the latest updates on how Willis is doing during an interview for The Drew Barrymore Show to promote his new film, The substance. Although Willis has changed dramatically in recent years, Moore suggested that, given the circumstances, the retired actor is doing pretty well. He went on to explain that the trick is to “meet them where they are” as a way to better enjoy the time spent with Willis, regardless of his health issues.

“Given the facts, it's in a stable place,” Moore said. “What I tell my kids is meet them where they are. You don't hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are right now… And from that, there's so much beauty and joy and love and sweetness. When I'm in Los Angeles, I go every week and really appreciate the time we all share..”

All things considered, the situation is stable.

Willis and Moore, who were married from 1987 to 2000, shared three children: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis. In 2009, Willis remarried to Emma Heming, and the couple welcomed two daughters, one born in 2012 and the other in 2014. Moore and Heming have become friends, and the entire family was there to honor Willis on Father's Day in June. Moore shared multiple images of Willis with her children at different points in his life, some of them recent, to declare her ex-husband “our favorite dad.”

“He's so good,” Rumer Willis also said Today earlier this year, sharing how wonderful it was to see her father interact with his daughter.”[My daughter] Lou is just starting to walk a little bit, and she was coming up to him, and it was so sweet. It's so nice because I feel like my dad is just like — he's a female father, through and through. It almost unlocks that kind of relationship between a little girl and a dad. He's so sweet with her.”

Bruce Willis to Retire in 2022 After Diagnosis

In 2022, Willis' family abruptly announced that he was retiring from acting soon after being diagnosed with aphasia, a neurological condition that significantly affects communication. The condition worsened and Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023. The family said in statements that they hoped that making Willis' diagnosis public would help raise awareness about the disease.

Willis, one of Hollywood's most popular stars, is known for appearing in films such as Hard to die, pulp FictionAND The Sixth Senseamong many others.
