Warhorse Studios has announced that the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been delayed until next year. The game was originally scheduled to be released in 2024. However, as the developers explained a few minutes ago, KC:D 2 will now be released on February 11, 2025.
The developers will release a 20-minute gameplay video at Gamescom 2024. I suspect the video will offer a sneak peek at one of the main quests. And since it may contain raw gameplay footage, it should be a cool and exciting preview, so we can't wait to see it.
In KC:D2, players take on the role of Henry of Skalitz, who becomes embroiled in a gripping tale of vengeance, betrayal, and discovery as he embarks on an epic journey “from the forge of a humble blacksmith to the court of kings” as he searches for meaning in this beautiful but brutal medieval world. The game is set in the chaos of a civil war in 15th century Bohemia.
Although Warhorse hasn't revealed the game's PC requirements yet, Daniel Vavra claimed that the NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super can run Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 at 60 fps at 4K/Very High settings, so this should give us a little idea of how the game will run on a high-end PC system.
We also know that it will support both NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR at launch. Additionally, the game will be powered by CRYENGINE, so I'm excited to see it in action.
Stay tuned for more!
Listen up! The official release date for #KCD2 is February 11, 2025.
