Deadpool and Wolverine took full advantage of the MCU multiverse with a variety of special guests along with variations of the titular characters. Concept art submitted for the film proposed another variation that would have combined Deadpool and Wolverine together, and while it wasn't used, the artwork reveals what “Wolverinepool” could have looked like had it been chosen.
On Instagram, conceptual artist David Masson shared some of the artwork for the pitched Deadpool and Wolverine design variations. One of the rejected ones was the Deadpool and Wolverine version that combined traits from both characters. Masson noted in the caption that the design “unfortunately he didn't make it,” while also proposing possible names for the variant as Wolverinepool, Wolverpool and DeadverineIn any case, you can see a look at the mash-up variant below.

Another unused variant design was revealed by Masson. Called Punkpool, this character blended the look of Spider-Punk, voiced by Daniel Kaluuya in Spider-Verse franchise, featuring Wade Wilson's Deadpool costume. It's another fun concept that might have been interesting to see on the big screen, even if there was only room for so many. There were also alternate ideas for Logan that didn't make it into the film, such as a pitch to include Danny DeVito as a shorter variant of Wolverine.
Since the film was such a success, it would seem that there is a possibility for Marvel Studios to explore the multiverse further. Along with the upcoming Avengers sequel, there’s a chance that Deadpool could end up getting a fourth film, perhaps even joined once again by Wolverine. As the MCU’s exploration of the multiverse continues, it’s anyone’s guess what other variations might pop up in the future, meaning ideas like Deadpool-verine could end up seeing the light of day.
