Pearl Abyss has finally released a new video for Crimson Desert, featuring 7 minutes of brand new gameplay from it. In this video, we can see the boss fight with White Horn, the mountain spirit born from the blizzards of the White Mountains.
As the developers noted, this gameplay footage comes from the Gamescom 2024 demo that will be playable. In other words, it comes from the latest version of the game, so it gives you an idea of what the game currently looks like.
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game. The game promises a vivid narrative and intense action with realistic characters and narrative revolving around the members of the Greymane Free Company fighting to fulfill their noble mission.
Players will experience the beautiful but brutal continent of Pywel and witness the conflicts and epic legends surrounding Kliff, leader of the Greymanes, as his mission takes him on an unforgettable journey.
Now I have to be honest. Since I play Black Myth: Wukong, Crimson Desert doesn't come close. Black Myth: Wukong's snow levels look MUCH better than what I see here. Not only that, but the lighting in Crimson Desert looks dated. Just look at the characters at 0:30. Their skin shading isn't as detailed and the lighting looks kind of flat.
There is no official expected release date for the game yet, but we will of course keep you updated.
Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
