Beyoncé Knowles-Carter isn't one to open up about her favorites in the world, but she did reveal her favorite movie of the year. Coincidentally, it also has a connection to one of her previous titles.
Beyoncé is best known as a singer, but she has appeared in several films and received praise for her acting skills. In an interview with GQ, the singer opened up about her favorite songs, artists, and films of the year, and revealed that her favorite film was Inside Out 2The film is currently the highest-grossing film of the year, and few upcoming titles could surpass it.
“The best movie I've seen this year is Inside Out 2,” Beyoncé responded. “I think it's brilliant,” she continued. As for her TV shows, the “Texas Hold 'Em” singer revealed that she's “currently watching House of the Dragon AND The Who.” With three children (Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Sir and Rumi, 7), it's no surprise that Beyoncé also had to go see Inside Out 2 at the cinema and I felt all the emotions that the sequel aroused.

Inside Out 2 also past The Lion King at the all-time worldwide box office, occupying eighth place, with the latter currently in tenth place behind 2015 Jurassic World.
The Lion King has a new opportunity to pass Inside Out 2
Although the 2019 film can't beat Inside Out 2 no more, the story will continue this year with Mufasa: The Lion King. The new installment serves as both a prequel and sequel to the 2019 film, with several stars reprising their roles from the remake, including Beyoncé. The new film no longer has Jon Favreau at the helm, with Barry Jenkins taking over the reins.
Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and John Kani will reprise their roles, along with newcomers Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Tiffany Boone and Lennie James. Beyoncé’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, has also joined Mufasa: The Lion King, making her film debut.
Mufasa: The Lion King will debut in the United States on December 20, 2024, giving him the opportunity to challenge the reigning monarch of 2024, Inside Out 2.
