Next month, Netflix will release a slew of new movies and TV shows, including Escape Plan (2013). The prison escape film stars Hollywood legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and will be available on the streaming platform from October 1st.
Among other films, Netflix announced the first Escape Plan the film would have become part of their catalog. Directed by Mikael Håfström, the first installment of the film series features an impressive cast. In addition to Schwarzenegger and Stallone, the film features Sam Neill, Jim Caviezel, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D'Onofrio, Amy Ryan, and even rapper 50 Cent.

As the name suggests, Escape Plan follows inmate Emil Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger) and escape artist Ray Breslin (Stallone) as they engineer their escape from a top-secret prison. Breslin has been assigned to test the prison's security.
Escape Plan Sequels
Escape Plan it was the film of the saga. It has since received two sequels, Escape Plan from Hades AND Escape Plan: The Extractors . Sadly, the second film was panned by critics with a 7% on Rotten Tomatoes. Stalone continued to call Escape Plan 2 “truly the most horribly produced film [he] has ever had the misfortune to be in.” While Escape Plan 2 did not see the return of Schwarzenegger, but did see Dave Bautista join the cast as Trent DeRosa.
Currently, both Escape Plan Hades and Escape Plan: The Extractors are available for streaming on Netflix. Escape Plan 1 will follow suit on October 1st.
