Against The Storm is getting frogs and a new biome in its first expansion this September

Against The Storm features a menagerie of animal-people to parade around as you try to build a town that can withstand the constant rain of Blightstorm. That doesn't stop the new expansion Keepers Of The Stone from adding another. On September 26, you'll be able to meet frog-people as you enter a new biome.

Here is the release date trailer:

The new expansion takes place in the Coastal Woods, where settlements are built along the water where you'll be able to – you guessed it – build new Strider Havens and embark on water-based exploration on the backs of water striders.

The expansion also adds new buildings, such as the Pantry, the Cannery, and the Toad House. The latter are places where the frogs live instead of regular shelters, and can be upgraded several times to keep the frogs happy, with each level choosing “unique benefits” according to the attribute list.

September 26th will also be the release date for Against The Storm's 1.4 update, which adds new requirements, new items, and a new fishing system among other changes. But if you want the frogs and the new biome etc., you'll have to pay for the DLC. There's no price listed on the Steam page yet.

I haven't had time to get back into Against the Storm since it hit 1.0, but it was already a bomb in Early Access and is apparently a mega-banger in its full release. I'd trust Eremite Games to do something good with an expansion.
