A team of modders was working on a pretty cool mod for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered called H2M. H2M aimed to recreate the original MW2 multiplayer experience in COD: MW Remastered. This mod was supposed to be released today. However, just hours before it hit the internet, Activision canceled it.
This is one of the main reasons why we always recommend keeping a low profile until your fan project is released. Most players believed this mod would fall into the fair use category. However, it seems that Activision did not agree with that.
Today, our team members received a cease and desist order on behalf of Activision Publishing related to the H2M Mod project. We are complying with this order and will cease all activities immediately and permanently.

What's also funny is that a lot of gamers are currently showering COD: MW Remastered with reviews. And I'm pretty sure most of them will be pre-ordering Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered came out in 2017. So that was seven years ago. So these overwhelming negative reviews aren't going to make a difference. Honestly, these reviews seem like they're coming from immature people. There's another term for them: crybabies. If you want to make a difference, do something for the sales of the new COD game. But oh no, you have to play it. So, yeah, crybabies.
Anyway, it's a shame the mod was cancelled. From what I can tell, it had a lot of potential. And it's a shame Activision cancelled it on release date. But hey, that's how the gaming business works. And like I said, if you're unhappy with Activision, DO NOT BUY ANY MORE NEW GAMES. Simple as that.
Finally, I've included the official trailer for the H2M mod below. This video should give you an idea of what the modding team was trying to achieve, so check it out.
Enjoy!
