TV has become a fast-paced service thanks to streaming services, with companies like Netflix, Max, and Amazon Prime ordering dozens of new shows and canceling just as many every day. Some great shows get canceled, immediately infuriating fans, while others simply fail to hook viewers in the first place, dooming themselves. There’s also an additional category: shows that don’t start out strong but evolve into something incredible, only to end up canceled.
Series like Pushing Daisies, The Horror of Dolores Roach, OR Paper Girls They didn't really create much of a fandom in the beginning, but before they were cancelled, it was obvious that they would go far. These shows deserve another season, because they have definitely shown the potential to be great. Obviously, fans are eager for them to get a second chance as soon as possible.

Push the daisies tells the story of Ned, a pastry chef who can bring people back to life, and his love affair with Chuck, a previously deceased woman who, tragically, he cannot touch. Described as a “forensic fable,” Push the daisies offered 2000s TV a fresh style, full of unique characters and bizarre yet touching plots. Unfortunately, most viewers didn't respond to its uniqueness until it was too late. By the end of season two, everyone was invested in Ned and Chuck's complicated love story, but the series was still canceled.
One of the many series that have been cancelled due to a strike, Push the daisies It was canceled in 2009, but viewers still wanted to see more of Ned and Chuck's romance, as well as other storylines the series sets up during the epilogue, such as Chuck's relationship with his mother and Olive's new mac and cheese restaurant.

After a canceled school trip, all the teenagers in West Ham, Connecticut, discover that the adults have disappeared. Initially excited by the freedom that comes with it, the new teenage society soon descends into chaos as some of the strongest personalities vie for leadership of the group, trying to emulate the hierarchy of high school.
The first and only season of The Company follows a Lord of the Flies kind of situation with different factions of teenagers fighting for control and losing their morals as they go along. However, it goes very little into what actually happened to the adults until the very last scene. The season finale reveals that the adults of West Ham are still there, but the teenagers are in what may be a parallel reality. This storyline was much more interesting than most of the plots in the first season of the series, but the show was cancelled before it could delve into it.

Justina Machado is the protagonist of The Horror of Dolores Roach as Dolores, a woman trying to rebuild her life after years in prison. Although she hopes to make an honest living, Dolores ends up working with a cannibalistic empanada vendor, burying herself deeper in the mud with each episode.

Warrior Nun follows Ava, a member of the Order of the Cruciform Sword whose goal is to defeat the demons on Earth, as well as everyone around her, during this war. The series, heavily inspired by Christian mythology, follows the unfolding of a war between good and evil that unfortunately doesn't have a proper ending, at least thanks to Netflix.
After two great seasons, Warrior Nun was canceled following a hilarious post-credits scene in which the Divinium Sword, a powerful weapon for the Order, lights up. Luckily for fans, Warrior Nun There will be a movie trilogy made in the future, but until that happens, fans can only imagine how powerful the Divinium Sword is and how useful it will be during the upcoming war.
Paper Girls ended with a twist

Paper Girls tells the story of four paper girls who find themselves caught in the middle of a multiversal, temporal war that is unfolding in plain sight, but with no real witnesses. Being in the wrong time at the wrong time puts Erin, MacKenzie, KJ, and Tiff in danger, but also turns them into heroes as they explore their inner lives. All things considered, it’s both a thrilling sci-fi series and a touching coming-of-age story.
UnfortunatelyPaper Girls was deeply hurt by its unfaithful adaptation, as it strayed from the comic book storyline and disappointed fans. Viewers were not as enthusiastic, especially when comparing it to the comics, so it was not given the chance to do a better job of adapting Brian K. Vaughan in subsequent seasons. He actually tried in the end, and teased fans with a different timeline where the girls are trapped in the past, similar to the comics. However, it was cancelled before the storyline became reality.

After a plane crash, a group of girls on a retreat end up stranded on an island. As they try to survive (and come to terms with their new reality and the broken bonds they left behind), they realize that the crash was no accident, but an experiment staged by a cruel scientist.
The first season of The wild nature focused on the survival of the girl group. Then, the second one brought in a boy group that repeated the formula, right down to some of the character archetypes, so it definitely dropped in quality. However, the third one was promising. With both groups together in an abandoned facility under the control of an evil mole in the season finale, the next season was sure to be insane compared to the previous ones. Sadly, it never saw the light of day, and thus the series left fans with more questions than answers.

Before Sydney Sweeney rose to fame in Hollywood, she appeared in Everything sucks! along with Peyton Kennedy, Jahi Di'Allo Winston, and Patch Darragh. This Netflix series, centered on the Boring High School A&V club, follows the lives of these social outcasts, still trying to find their place in the world. It explores several important topics, such as identity, race, and even sexuality, as Kate (Peyton Kennedy) realizes she is attracted to women, especially the school queen, Emaline (Sweeney).
Everything sucks! It started out as a lovely Inspired by Freaks and Geeks school drama, but quickly turned into a beautiful coming-of-age story with a fantastic LGBTQ+ couple at the center. The last episode of the series finally shows Emaline and Kate's first kiss, leaving fans wondering whether they will stay together despite their social differences or not. Unfortunately, Netflix decided to cancel it, so Emaline and Kate's love story lives only in the memory of fans.

Brit Marling stars in The OA as Prairie Johnson, a blind woman who disappeared and then returned to her hometown cured of her blindness. Calling herself the Original Angel or OA after having a near-death experience, she reveals her long and complicated history to a group of teenagers who take it upon themselves to confirm whether she is telling the truth.
The OA has an incredible premise, but over the course of its two seasons, it lost its plot a few times, which led viewers to ignore it. However, the season finale took everyone by surprise, leaving them wishing there was more. Five years after its cancellation, viewers now see it for what it is: the setup for an amazing sci-fi series with meta narratives that was cut even though it didn't deserve to be.

A reboot of the 1992 film from Prime Video Girls aside takes a fresh approach to the story of the Rockford Peaches, now including serious but human topics such as race and sexuality. The series primarily follows Carson, a married woman who discovers her sexuality through a relationship with Greta, one of her teammates, and Max Chapman, a black lesbian struggling to find her place in the conservative society of the 1940s.
Girls aside is a great series from the start. It features fascinating characters and masterfully develops the team's story. However, it's only in the final episode that the real drama unfolds when Carson's husband returns from war, forcing her to leave her romance with Greta in a troubling situation. Since Amazon canceled the series, this love triangle will simply not be resolved and Carson will never come clean to her husband.

Based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman, I'm not happy with this centers on Sydney Novak (Sophia Lillis), a seventeen-year-old who begins to display telekinetic powers. Unable to control her abilities, which are heavily tied to her emotions, Sydney ends up losing control. Over the course of seven episodes, I'm not happy with this tells the story of Sydney's life, her crush on another girl and her family problems.
However, in the seventh and final episode of the series, she causes her bully Brad’s head to explode during the prom. This prompts her to run away into the woods, where she meets a mysterious man who hints at having the same abilities as her. With this, the show has laid the groundwork for some lore regarding Sydney’s abilities and perhaps a community of super-powered civilians who could embrace Sydney. However, this storyline went nowhere as the show was canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
